Effective Literacy Website #3 - KidsLit TV

Kids Lit (https://kidlit.tv/) is an award-winning website that is most notable for providing all forms of media that young readers are with such as Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. It was created by Julie Gribble, a multi-award-winning writer, filmmaker, and producer. She gathered a team of educators and reading specialists to create a platform for readers to enjoy and appreciate reading. They also include a wide array of topics that would appeal to today’s generation of readers.

Kids Lit has many programs. One of its most popular programs is a show called "Read Out Loud". In this show, authors are invited to read their books aloud. Readers can participate in a read aloud with the authors of their favorite books. Another notable show is "Storymakers". This show focuses on introducing the reader to the authors behind the books they are interested in. Readers get to know things like why the author wrote the book and other fun facts about the book that the author was not able to include in the book itself.

The overall aesthetic of the website is simple and easy to follow. The colors and design lead the readers attention to the important parts of the website without relying on overly bright colors and images. This makes it easy for young readers to quickly focus and get started on their activities.

Kidslit.tv is a website that takes advantage of all forms of modern media. Their library contains YouTube videos and podcasts, to name a few. Kids Lit uses these various forms of media to cover a wide array of topics for readers of all levels. Readers may even discover new topics that they might be interested in. The Kidslit.tv webpage manages to organize their vast content in a way that is simple and easy to navigate.
