IRA News Project Effective Literacy Website # 3
The common sense education (https://www.commonsense.org/education/top-picks/middle-school-reading-apps-and-websites) is the nation's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of all kids and families by providing the trustworthy information and education (Common Sense Education 2003). These apps and websites were for middle school reading. This site provided terrific tools and programs that can help enhance learners’ literacy skills. It also provides tools and programs that can aid struggling readers and many interactive reading resources that can meet the needs of an individual student.
This website provided 30 different sub-websites with different topics. When you will click on one topic it will take you to the page where all the instructions were already set, the required tools for the topic, videos, apps, and all the necessary information to support the topic when you will implement it. It also contains some significant features that can help supporters, educators, parents, and peers help shape up students’ literacy which includes digital citizenship, EdTech reviews, professional development and distance learning. There were many helpful and interesting guidelines and procedures within each feature.
This website is well set and constructed. Everything that you need to teach based on a specific topic is already set, all you have to do is print or safe and utilize it as you please. This website is really handful and interesting that would be beneficial for all educators, parents, families, peers, and most importantly our learners.
