IRA News Project Effective Literacy Website # 5

 

            Amplify reading (https://amplify.com/programs/amplify-reading/) is a supplemental ELA program focusing on close reading of arguments, literary analysis, and writing (Meyers 2019). The targeted grade level is 6-8 grades in the content area English language arts to develop students reading, writing, comprehension, and critical thinking skills.

            This website or tool provides engaging programs that can prepare students to be responsible or work independently. This site also provides tools, programs many interactive resources that can help develop students’ collaboration in reading and writing. It also helps students to be creative in developing their own stories by creating new characters or adventures and writing their own endings. This site helps educators to be creative in teaching by providing many interactive and engaging resources for direct instruction. There’s also certain interactive assessment provided that can assess many writing activities. It also provided handful information on how to utilize this tool and it is really great for teaching and learning literacy.

            This website or tool provides engagement activities and procedures that can facilitate or support educators to teach reading and writing to a targeted level within English language Arts that will enhance student ability to read, write, communicate, comprehend, and to think critically. This is a handful and interesting website or tool can utilize within our classroom to accelerate students’ literacy skills.
